More than 45 PPG volunteers painted the reception area and crisis residential center at the Youth Outreach Facility in gray, green, orange, blue, red, brown and pink. The Facility helps at--risk youth grow into responsible members of the community.

Four classrooms at the Government Higher Secondary School were painted by more than 30 PPG employee volunteers in shades of pink, yellow, green and blue to create a bright and colorful learning environment. The school, which is attended by about 400 students in sixth through 12th grade, is the only secondary school for boys in Sriperumbudur and serves more than 30 surrounding villages.

Volunteers transformed the bare fence around the playground at Lida Middle School into a work of art by painting students' colorful and imaginative drawings onto them. This project refreshed the school's landscape with the theme, "Beautiful Songjiang, Colorful Dream."

Sounds of the seasons.

A 3D piano keyboard and the notes to Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons concertos decorate the walls at the Wuhu School for the Blind so students can experience the changes in seasons by touching the melody. This “four seasons” theme was made possible by the hard work of 120 employees and volunteers from our Wuhu plant and its customer Chery.

A cultural community

More than 120 volunteers revitalized the streets of the Gamchun Cultural Community, which has become an arts and exhibition area. The community attracts more than 700 visitors each day, but has dealt with poverty issues for years and relies on programs such as the Colorful Communities initiative to improve and maintain its surroundings.
